This week I finished The Notebook, and found a new Nicholas Sparks book that I hadn't read yet caled The Last Song. I actually saw the movie with Miley Cyrus in the video store and was surprised that I haven't heard of it sooner! Especially considering it seems that this is all I ever read....
Anyway this book is about a 17 year old girl (Ronnie) who is forced to spend the summer with her father. She had some troubles with the law and her mother was hoping that spending a summer with their father would help whip her back into shape. She seems to be trouble teen whom the author describes as gothic. She hangs out with the wrong crowd and trouble is always near. In the story I ended just after she met the lead male character, named Will. Will is a handsome young man, hanging with the "vally girls." So clearly these two seemed desined for each other right?
That's what I love about Nicholas Sparks. From this first encounte, you know that something will happen with these two, otherwise it wouldn't be in the story... but you aren't exactly sure what's going to happen next. He also has a great way of throwing you off kilter a bit too. In this book, it's Blaze. Blaze is another troubled teen has his eyes set on Ronnie. I am excited to continue on and see where this plot takes me!
